I was taken to UHND at 14.00 on Monday 25/7/16 following a Motorcycle accident, I had been given no pain relief during my 90 minute Ambulance journey and on arrival I was very distressed to say the least. Immediately in Resus I was given the utmost care by the Doctor and two Nurses who I cannot thank enough, I was given pain relief and comforted by the nurses, once my pain was under control I was taken for X Ray and a CT scan where it was discovered that I had a punctured lung. I was moved to Ward 12 where I stayed a short time before being transferred to Ward 15. The staff on this Ward were excellent, Doctors, Nurses and Health Care Assistants all looked after me with care and dignity, I was in Hospital for 11 days and was spoken to by the Consultants about how my Clavicle would be repaired, it was decided that it would be plated and the Operation was carried out on 3/8/16. I had never been in Hospital before and all my concerns were addressed and questions answered, I am now home and continuing my recuperation.
Please can you pass my thanks to every person who had contact with me in UHND, I have sent Thank You cards but would like everyone involved to know how grateful I am.
