This hospital really is perfect.

I had an ablation procedure on my heart and stayed one night.

I was was scared about having my heart messed with, but I need not have worried.

All the staff are wonderful, they put me at my ease, they truly care, have expert knowledge and are professional.

The hospital itself is modern and well organised.

It is amazing how many people use the QE yet it felt bright, fresh and organised, more like a modern airport.

Don't worry about getting lost, there are maps online and there are plenty of people to help and direct you. I arrived early fo my pre-op yet did not have to wait, I was out in 1 1/2 hours.

On the day of my operation I arrived at ambulatory care and was shown to the 4 bed, single sex, ward. This was well cared for, modern and spotlessly clean.

Everything was explained to me and I did not wait long before I had my procedure.

I was put to sleep and felt no pain.

Afterwards I stopped in one night, the doctors and nurses were kind and caring.

The hospital food was excellent and I had a choice that catered for my allergies.

The following day after seeing doctors and final tests, I was discharged quickly and efficiently.

If you are unable to walk there are little "golf carts" to take you to the car park or the bus stops.

Overall I cannot thank the staff at the QE enough for making a scary procedure as pleasant as possible.
