My daughter was rushed to Queen Mary's A&E for an emergency CT scan after banging her head and I cannot fault the care that both she and I received from the amazing staff at this hospital. Two lovely nurses met the ambulance and immediately introduced themselves saying that they would be with us for the duration of our time with them and that I just had to ask if I had any questions about my daughter's care. They also warned me that there would be a large team awaiting my daughter's arrival in A&E but that this was normal and I should not be alarmed by it. They reassured me every step of the way and even stayed with me when my daughter was moved to children's A&E, went for her CT scan and was then moved to one of the children's wards for observation overnight. Every doctor, nurse, porter and technician we encountered was extremely friendly, polite and eager to help. Despite this having been a very emotionally challenging time for both of us, I do not feel that we could have had better care in any way, especially in the A&E departments. I would have no hesitation i returning to this hospital or recommending it to others. Thank you to everyone who made such a horrific experience so much better than I could ever have imagined.
