"Visiting hospital from Isles of Scilly"

The problems of travelling from the Islands, particularly with the elderly can be considerable. I recently accompanied my 91 year old relative who had to have an Endoscopy and CT Enema. The staff in both departments liaised brilliantly so that both procedures could be undertaken on the same day thus avoiding two difficult journeys. At all times, whether by phone or in person, we were treated with cheerful, helpful and understanding staff. We were particularly struck by the happy, positive atmosphere of the hospital in general and particularly by the very lovely staff in the Endoscopy Dept.
