Hello first I would like to say thanks to the medical transport who transported me to Neurology, they assisted me in allocating the department as I would struggle due to my vision problems, Neuro related etc. Ok so I was told to wait in the waiting area I had my blood pressure taken etc. I was then seen by the consultant who was kind and friendly, The consultant asked me various questions about my neurological problems, spasms and seizures which I was satisfied with and the examinations they carried out on my eyes and limbs, muscles to test for coordination and weakness I was happy with. What I don't understand is why the consultant then changed their tone and said they are going to write a report back to my GP and then said "I want to carry out or do further tests on you but to come to and from Kings would just be draft" Im sure there are Neurologists in Nottingham can perform examinations and tests. If one wouldn't I'm sure there is many more. In reality I was seen by them and I explained to them in Nottingham but they did nothing to help or treat me, I have contacted the reception today and I found out the consultant said that no treatment required, can this be explained to me!! When the consultant clearly saw I have and suffer muscle weakness and spasms with other neurological problems, I have doubts about this particular consultant, I will wait for the report to come back to my GP, I will then decide on which consultant specialises in dealing with my condition and if this would be Kings! I will wait for PALS to send me a reply.
"It was a great start with a disappointing ending!"
