"Appointments and feeling rushed"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as the patient),

I recently moved to the area and had to register with Wellwynd practice as no other doctor was taking on patients I thought great I'll be able to speak to someone who can help again. I was very wrong.  I have tried more days than I can count to try and get an appointment.  The phone is constantly busy or the line cuts off, the website stated you could phone between 2: 30-4: 30. I finally got through at 4: 01 to be told it ended at 4 and to try again the next day. it's impossible to get through on the phone and the one appointment I had I felt so rushed to get back out the door.  This has made me very anxious, unwilling and upset about having to go back even though I need to.  hoping I can get through and maybe have a more present experience next time round.  to top it all the website isn't loading for me so I don't even know the times I'm allowed to phone for an appointment

Dear Ailbail

Thanks for getting in touch - however I was sorry to read about your recent experience with your GP. I can completely understand why you feel anxious and upset.

If you would like me to pass on your concerns to the local practice manager I'd be more than happy to assist, if you can contact me directly on 01698 858 292 or via email kathryn.ferguson@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk

Many thanks

Kathryn
