My Daughter had her C Section at North Manchester Hospital, it is her 4th baby and 3rd C Section. She told that her after care was abysmal, they left her in the bed, only changed her pad twice within 24 hours and she said one of the times was only because she started bleeding heavy. They left the baby on her for a few hours to feed only hours after her C Section, she was bottle feeding. The morning after the C Section I saw 2 nurses stand and watch her stand up for the first time and did not help her in anyway. I felt like she was pretty much left alone to care for herself and my new born Granddaughter. A few hours after the C Section she asked for some stronger pain killers, the midwife said yes you can have them when I get another midwife to sign for them. My daughter tells me she never got the pain killers and had to make do with paracetomol and anti inflammatory tablets. So as you can imagine my Daughter was happy to be discharged on day 2. I think it depends which staff are looking after you and it seems to me that my Daughter was one of the unlucky ones.
