"A&E is badly run and understaffed"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Have had to wait nearly 8 hours at A&E for results of an ECG and blood test after coming in with chest pains and dizziness. After my bloods were taken I was told the wait would be 5 hours from when I'd arrived, can't they write the wait times down somewhere? And shouldn't I have been told this before they stuck a needle in my arm? Chaotic organisation and lacking basic communication skills, they couldn't keep track well of which patients were still around and which had gone, only ex planed waiting times when people complained. Realise the NHS is underfunded, and the staff themselves were nice and clearly overworked. But this is the worst A&E experience I've had in my life, should have gone to Whiston. Filthy waiting rooms and toilets as well, bloody tissues on the floor and sick bowls on the water fountain. Not good.
