"Colchester General - Nothing but praise"

I have recently returned from a sudden and unexpected stay at Colchester General Hospital. Due to the recent media coverage I was not expecting too much.

I was admitted to the Wivenhoe Ward after a very short stay in A&E.

To my pleasant surprise I found that: from the ambulance crew - who picked me up (literally) – porter’s, domestic staff, nurses doctors through to the consultants and operating staff I received nothing but kindness, understanding and efficiency. The standard of care was to a very high standard in all departments that I was treated in - medical and non-medical.

My family were kept well informed and treated with the same care and concern that I was.

I can only speak from my own experience and found everything and everyone exceeded my expectations.
