"phoning the dental hospital"

the telephone system if abysmal,it is very very hard to get to speak to anyone.my last appointment was may 2015 and i am still waiting to be recalled to a new student as my last one finished last summer. i am still under treatment as an impression was taken for a shield to see if i grind my teeth,so that is still ongoing. have tried ringing several times, someone was suppossed to get back to me in january but didnt, then spoke to a Nadeem in May 2016,reassured me i was still on list and i would be cotacted, now aug 2016. eventually spoke to someone today {4th aug} in management, took details, told me students not back now till late september but someone' would be in touch, but i'm afraid i have lost all confidence now.

i first went to the dental hospital 47years ago and have received great treatment up until now,i have given my service and i hope i can resume getting some back.

Response from New Birmingham Dental Hospital

Dear Imelda Burke

Thank you for getting in touch via NHS Choices and for leaving your feedback.

I am sorry you have experienced difficulties contacting the hospital by phone and work is being done to find solutions to this.

I would be grateful if you could ring me on 0121 466 7128 or email Alison.last@bhamcommunity.nhs.uk and I will follow up with the colleague you spoke to about receiving information in September about your next appointment.

Unfortunately we are unable to schedule any appointments with students at present, as their Autumn academic timetable has unfortunately not yet been confirmed.

Please do get in touch at your earliest opportunity and I am happy to help in any way possible.

Kind regards

Alison Last
