Having been a patient here for 22 years, I have noticed the decline of the service provided to the general public.
Accessible Appointments: Due to one surgery to a large town population its unlikely you will receive a appointment till , at the earliest, 7 days later if you ring and make an appointment. If you feel your situation is a little more urgent, the surgery works by speaking to the duty doctor over the phone, who then informs you he/she is unable to speak to you about your condition and you have to make an appointment with your original doctor.
General Practice:
I had a change of doctor four years ago, who used to perform a yearly examination and keep am eye on my underlying conditions. My new doctor, I had to request for weight and blood pressure check and physical examination.
Patient Referral: : They are highly unlikely to refer you for specialist treatment, or even scans at the hospital. When you request for a referral, you are made to feel silly and insignificant.
