"123 course has given me a boost of confidence"

About: Ladybrook Children's Centre

(as a service user),

I felt very calm and welcomed by all of the staff and the other mums. Just sharing my story and listening to other peoples stories made me feel confident that my child's behaviour is also mostly normal.

Some things I have learned here have made a huge difference at home. Myself and my daughter are both feeling more confident and happier at home. Our communication is better and I've learned to keep my cool and stick to it. We are both much happier and her behaviour at school has improved a lot. Things are still not perfect but the course has given me a boost of confidence and made me feel in control in a calm and positive level.

Being a parent can be rewarding and challenging in equal measures. Sometimes we need to hear that we are not alone and that others are experiencing similar challenges.

Children dont come with a manual for every event and having the right information at the right time can help bring back a calmer household and promote loving relationships. Although the children's centres and the programmes can provide you with information about how to handle your child, the change comes about as you as the parent uses this information and strategies so all credit goes to you.

It is also great to hear that, not only is your daughter happier at home, but she is also happier at school. This is so important in the early years to help her learn and fulfil her potential.

Thank you for taking the time out to share your story with us
