"Complete Disorganisation"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

I attended the breast clinic for an ultrasound appointment for which i was sent to X-ray who sent me back to the breast clinic where i wait for almost two hours before being told that there was no one available to carry out the ultrasound. I was still examined by a doctor and told to come back for another appointment two days later. On this occasion i was seem promptly and the doctor carrying out the ultrasound was very helpful, I had a biopsy taken and they and the nurses involved made this experience much easier. I was then sent back to the breast clinic and saw a doctor who was dismissive and didn't even know that I had had a biopsy, they then left it to a nurse to tell me when my follow up appointment was. After waiting for two weeks for the results I have now had a voicemail (the day before the appointment) to tell me the appointment has been cancelled and may be another week before it can be rescheduled. This is very frustrating when not only have you psychologically worked yourself up for receiving your results but you have also taken time off work again to be told there is no one available.
