"Nothing but praise."

About: Westmorland General Hospital

My wife broke her ankle whilst on holiday in the area. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful. My wife was well treated and well cared for. I was annoyed by a couple in the waiting room who were complaining about their son being kept waiting for treatment - he was out of the room at the time having a cigarette. Where else could you hobble in at 10 in the morning, be treated with nothing but kindness and respect, be seen by four highly trained professionals and be out in time for lunch all patched up?

Response from Westmorland General Hospital

Hi Gordon. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience at Westmorland General Hospital. The Primary Care Assessment Unit where your wife was treated is actually run by a different NHS Trust - Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - but we will pass on your kind comments so they can be shared with the staff involved. Wishing your wife a speedy recovery.
