I couldn't get a GP's appointment again so I chanced the walking centre again. I arrived with only two people waiting so I was optimistic. I ended up waiting over two hours, as I watched seven people just turn up and go in before me, non of whom looked ill or in pain. When I finally saw a nurse to ask for a prescription sign off, the nurse could only give me an emergency prescription for three days, (last time I had to visit I was given a 10 day prescription, which works) and was told to see my GP. When I enquired about the reduction of my prescription I was told it was probably to discourage me from visiting again!. I couldn't get an appointment at the doctors till the following week so the three day course proved utterly pointless, as did my visit. So I ended up seeing a nurse then a doctor and paying for two prescriptions whilst being in considerable pain and barely able to walk in-between. It came as no surprise to learn that the clinic is is part of our stealthy privatisation process and is run by Virgin Health. Rubbish.
