My husband was diagnosed to have a AAA after a routine aortic screening.
After another 3 month scan he was referred to the vascular department at the Royal Liverpool hospital.
Throughout the many visits that we had to the hospital for consultant appointments, scans, blood tests and various fitness tests my husband was looked after so well.
Never did we have to wait long for any of the appointments - not that it would have bothered us if we had.
My husband went in for his operation the beginning of July and the care and support he has had from day 1 until he was discharged 11 days later has been outstanding.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained to both of us so well and our many questions always answered.
My husband was extremely nervous of the prospect of such a major operation as was I, but the consultant and his wonderful team in theatre and all the way through to the critical care unit, high dependency unit and then on to the vascular ward were highly professional and the most caring and kind staff ever. Always cheerful and this carried on to the catering staff who again were superb!
I cannot thank everyone enough for all the support we have had and thankfully my husband's operation was a complete success and he is now on the road to recovery.
Thank you again so much!
"First class care all the way!"
