What I liked

The staff at the hopsital were very reassuring and constantly put my mind at rest as I have never been into hospital before. They were very happy to answer any questions that I had even after I was discharged from the ward.

Day Surgery - St Albans Hospital Wed 17/02/10

I just wanted to express my gratitude and complete satisfaction with the surgery and service that I received prior and during my operation. My GP from The Meriden Surgery in Watford referred me to a consultant's team at Watford General for the reomoval of a lipoma on my right shoulder. The staff at Watford General were very throrough and professional when I attended my pre op assessment on the 24/12/09. I received an appointment for surgery within 2 weeks. I have never been into hospital before and the staff at the day surgery unit in St Albans were very reassuring and put my mind at rest. I was very impressed with the surgery and the day unit were very helpful when answering my questions even when I had been discharged. I then received a follow up letter for an OPA at WGH with the consultant 2 weeks after surgery. In summary I was very impressed with the service that I received and level of care whilist I was in hospital I work within the NHS enviroment and appreciate how tough things can be sometimes. My GP was infomed that I had had the surgery and was very interested to see how I got on. All round a very good job and a big pat on the back to everyone involved. Debbie Lavelle
