"Lack of food and drink ward 20b solihull"

About: Solihull Hospital

my mother was put on ward 20b last night. While visiting a lot of family members including myself were very upset about the lack of drinks offered. There should be 7 drink rounds as stated on the information poster and much to our disgust there was only 2.

When the evening meal came round the bay my mother was in was told you have a choice of a pasty or a sandwich as there was no food left.

How can I'll people who are under nourished and dehydrated expect to get better with the lack of simple basic needs. This goes against the rights of the patient with the lack of food or drink. When the staff were questioned about this they were very rude and not concerned at all. Also when a member of the team were discussing my mothers health problems it was done infront of the whole bag without the curtains even being pulled round for some sort of privacy. Every one was looking at my mother which is breaking patient confidentiality. Very disappointed with the care this hospital provides.
