I brought my friend in yesterday as she broke a bone in her foot two weeks ago in France and has been passed from pillar to post since back in the UK by the hospital which is closest to where she lives (won't name it!) Basically for 2 weeks she has been hobbling around in a padded boot she bought in a pharmacy in France and not been seen by anyone other than in x ray at the other hospital. Nurses at MRI were absolutely brilliant - listened, grasped the situation immediately, gave advice and got her an appointment with a consultant for first thing next week. It was busy and I'd anticipated a long wait but we were in triage after just over an hour which I thought was very good. One nurse in particular was really excellent - won't describe them in case that's not the done thing but wish I could give individual feedback! They are all so upbeat and compassionate despite the challenging situations they deal with everyday - amazing!
