Being a first time mummy, my reliance on the labour ward team was extremely important to me. After a few complications it was decided that I would need an emergency c section. My two midwives who supported me throughout did all they could to help me in the labour process so I could try and give birth naturally and made me feel very strong and empowered that I was trying my best, letting me know how great I was doing. Whilst in surgery, one midwife chose of their own accord to stay by my side, even though their shift had ended, and held my hand throughout my c section. I was truly petrified as was my partner but the midwife stayed calm throughout, talking to me, even letting me know step by step what was happening with my little man once he was out. I am forever grateful to this member of staff and wish any lady who goes in to labour the good fortune of having the same midwife team as I did!! Xx lots of love Natasha, Matthew and baby Perry xx
"Amazing labour ward staff!"
