I had 3 severe anxiety episodes over the course of two weeks after waiting for an appointment with the talking therapies service since December/January time. My GP referred me to the crisis team after I went in for the 3rd time in 6 weeks. I was told I would be contacted that day. 3 days later I phoned them and was told I would be assigned a case worker within the next two days. Nothing for three weeks. i tried to make a complaint through PALS but they didn't help either and just kept telling me the therapy service was busy. I didn't want that. I am aware it's busy. I don't feel that I benefit from CBT and have told them that before but no, nobody listens to me even though I have already had 12 weeks of it and was sinply referred for another 12 weeks despite not wanting it at all and wanting to give my place to someone who would definitely get more out of it.
I wanted to know what was happening with the crisis team and why they hadn't let me know they weren't planning on seeing me. I was contacted twice but missed it- however no voicemail was left to give me a contact name or number to phone. I am aware how lucky I am not to have a more serious condition but they had no idea the state I was in and they didn't bother to even check to see how I was. You guys are truly appalling and I'm now waiting until I go to university to get treatment whilst continuing with a treatment that although I try to apply myself to, simply isn't working. So cheers for that.
"Apparently 'crisis' means nothing if it's..."
