"Couldn't have asked for better"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary

Considering I was highly anxious about giving birth at Wigan with the horror stories you hear about the staff not being very nice, I was made up! I was shocked that people could say these things about such a nice team! Every nurse that looked after me was fantastic! Two members of staff on delivery especially. It was such a stressful worrying time with an emergency/planned section bringing our little girl into the world 6 weeks early but every one of the nursing team and also medical/diabetic team I was seen by whilst on delivery were nothing short of amazing! They worked so hard to make sure I was well before having my little girl (which I know was a real challenge for them) but they did and because of their expertise and amazing care our little girl only needed minimal help when she arrived. From the triage team, right through to NNU, I ant thank them all enough. Amazing!

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience in Maternity, your most positive comments will be very well received by the staff in Maternity. I will forward your posting to the Acting Head of Midwifery and the Matron to ensure that this is shared with all concerned.

Kind regards and Congratulations
