"Long waiting times - A&E"

About: Bristol Royal Infirmary

The A&E dependent in the BRI is beyond I joke, I came in 5 hours ago with something lodged in my eye. It's Wednesday night and there are barely any patients in here. The doctors haven't called anyone in for about 2 hours. My eye is in extreme pain and God knows how many more hours I'll have to wait here. No one seemed particularly bothered.

Hi there. We are sorry to hear about the long wait time you experienced in our A&E department. At the moment the department is in high demand and doctors see the most seriously ill patients before the patients with less urgent conditions. We are encouraging some patients to seek medical advice through our alternate health services to try and reduce these wait times.
