"Waiting one and a half hour to see a consultant."

About: East Surrey Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I had a call about 1. 30 pm from the Urology department, asking me if I could attend a follow up consultation at 3. 30, 3. 45 or 4. 00pm.

I accepted the 3. 30 slot and was well on time for the appointment. I was shunted to two receptions before my details came up on the screen, but there were notes of mine available and was told to take a seat.

After half an hour of my appointment, I went and asked nurse if there was a problem. She told me that she did not have my name on her list and would speak to the sister.

No one knew what was going on. There seem to be no communication between the booking of my appointment and the nurses and doctors and nobody were speaking to each other. I finally was able to see a doctor, but am very disappointed with the treatment today.
