I was admitted as an emergency transfer from a local North West hospital with a burst fracture to my L1 vertebra and the care I received, along with a very successful and extremely prompt spinal fusion operation to stabilise the fracture, was nothing less than superb. The consultant and all of the staff, specifically the nurses, were some of the most caring, comforting and knowledge I have ever had the pleasure to have met within the NHS. They are a huge credit to the service and the Walton Centre. I have an unpayable debt of gratitude to Caton Ward, a ward which is a fantastic in ever sense and deserves all the praise it undoubtedly receives. I'm normally very uneasy and unsettled in hospitals, mostly because I find they have a very cold and intimidating atmosphere. The Walton Centre, specifically Caton Ward, couldn't be further from this and feels more like a home away from home than a hospital. I can never thank you all enough! Absolutely outstanding.
"Outstanding."
