"My sons care"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care) Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

When my son was born in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital in October 2015, the midwives and auxiliaries could not have done more to help me in those first few days.

Today, he needed minor surgery in RACH. We were apprehensive about the general anaesthetic but all of the staff were great at putting us at ease and could not have been more helpful. They were fantastic with my son too. The facilities on the day case unit were great, he had lots of fun in the play area which distracted him from what was going on.

Thanks to all on the unit for helping to make the day as stress free as possible.

Dear James mum

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am so pleased that things went well when you came to RACH. It is always worrying when little ones need an operation or procedure and it is good to hear that staff helped your day go well. Having fun with toys in the play area is really important for children when they have to come to hospital.

I hope your little boy is making a good recovery.

Best wishes to you all

Laura Gray
