"Excellent staff!"

I went to The Bradford CASH clinic for a smear test (my first ever) and to have a contraceptive implant changed. All the staff were great and really friendly.

The receptionist Karen was really friendly and cheerful even though it was nearly 6pm, she still had a big smile. I arrived very early for my appointment so I knew I was going to have a wait which was fine but I actually got called in nearly 10 minutes early.

The two ladies I saw were fantastic! Dr Mushtaq and Nurse Beaumont were so calming. I was not worried about having my implant changed as I have had it done before but I was very nervous about my smear test, not because I thought something was wrong but I have not had a stranger see my private area before, (I don't have children) but they both made me feel so relaxed and told me exactly what was going to happen and what I would feel. This really helped make the whole thing a lot less embarrassing.

But I think for me the best thing they did was laugh with me. When I get nervous I make jokey comments about myself and try to make people laugh. They were great with this! We joked about it nearly being home time, and how my stomach was rumbling really loud ( I had missed lunch) This made such a difference for me!

From walking in really nervous to the point of shaking a little (and I'm not a nervous person at all usually) I walked out laughing and with a big smile knowing I was silly for worrying in the first place! It was a breeze and I believe a big part of the reason for that is those two amazing women! They are a credit to your company! (not forgetting Karen on reception, who's smile was still going when I left at 7pm!)
