"Knee replacement"

About: Nuffield Health, Leeds Hospital

I was an inpatient on the 22nd June 2016 for a knee replacement. The standard of care I received was fantastic. I could not fault anything apart from the room. The room was shabby, the walls needed painting, the window sill had no paint on it, the blinds and the curtains were showing signs of wear and tear. My husband commented that he should of brought in his paint brush. I worked at the Nuffiield on Outwood Lane Horsforth for 14 years until the new hospital opened, the standard of the rooms were far superior there. I am sure the curtains were the same that were chosen when the new hospital was built!!! I was a BUPA private patient and expected a much superior room than the one I was allocated.

Response from Nuffield Health, Leeds Hospital

Dear Anne

Firstly thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m very sorry to learn of your disappointing experience with regard to the quality of your bedroom during your recent stay. We aim to deliver a high quality experience in all aspects of care and sorry we’ve missed the mark with regards to the room on this occasion. We understand the importance of a comfortable bedroom to rest and recover in. We are currently undergoing a redecoration programme to freshen up some of the bedrooms and aim to be completed by autumn.

I am pleased to read that the standard of hospital care you received was fantastic: our staff are incredibly hard working and passionate and will appreciate this feedback which I will share with them. I wish you all the best in your recovery.

Thank you again for your feedback

Kind regards

Neville Croft
