"Pre op assessment"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Went to a pre op assessment with my partner 38 weeks pregnant and a planned c section! Arrived to the appointment! Was seen for 5minutes gave a few pills and ointments. No information or advice on the procedure . Disappointed they didnt go threw the procedure and left in the dark. Felt like a rush and just a statistic. A major operation and emotional time you think they would explain the procedure and put your answers to rest but no

Dear Ricky

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Leicester Royal Infirmary and we are sorry that you felt that your partner’s appointment did not fully explain the planned procedure and you felt rushed and not given the necessary attention.

We would be grateful if you would email Louise Harvey, Midwifery Matron: louise.harvey@uhl-tr.nhs.uk with your name, address and hospital number and Louise will be in contact with you to go through the procedure and answer any questions you may have to enable you to prepare for your new arrival.

Best wishes, Communications Team, Leicester’s Hospitals
