"Review of my stay at RBH"

I had a stay in the RBH following surgery. My consultant was exceptional not only for the high level of skill and professionalism but also for the time taken to ensure that as a family we fully understood at all stages what was going on. Nursing staff at all levels in both ITU, Trueta and Hey grove wards were professional, efficient and responded swiftly to any request I made following my surgery. They were thoughtful and considerate about my concerns and without exception were kind and friendly and supportive in achieving both their aims and mine and ensuring I was comfortable and kept informed at all times. New nurses would introduce themselves when arriving for a shift which was really helpful. All auxiliary staff were also professional. My re admission through A&W was swift and efficient and staff took the time and trouble to ensure my family were looked after during my time there. All tests and scans were carried out without delay and results reported back quickly. I cannot fault my stay and it was clear the wards were run efficiently with patients needs being a priority.
