"NHS inefficency"

I attended Urology on 20th July 2016. I did arrive early at 09.24 I left at 12.05 Cost for parking £3:30.

.In that time a history was taken and bloods - 10 minute procedure.

I was directed through the waiting room and was told to wait. At 10.00 I spoke to a nurse who told me someone would come for me.

At 11.10 I spoke to another nurse who did go and find someone to see me. History taken, bloods taken.

I was directed to the XRay dept. Sorry, we only see 4 urology patients between 10:30 and 11:15. At this point I was an XRay patient but they refused to the scans. But the conveyer belt had stopped & I and others were turned away

I was given a variety of excuses. The Radiography Superintendent was at RVI and had not left anyone senior to cover.

The outcome was I have to return next week, more petrol more parking costs and my time. The way I was spoken to seemed to be aimed at keeping patients in a subservient position

This is a small demonstration of total inefficiency of the NHS. This does not happen in the private sector where the patient is priority. it seems that they plan the patient visits from arriving to leaving and is where the NHS can learn from the private sector.
