"Appointment disappoitment"

For three weeks my elderly father was trying to see a doctor, each time being told no appointment available!! Thus my father having to wait before finally being seen to be told a week later that he had CA!!! At what point do you consider an appointment should be made!! This has resulted in a bad outcome regardless but feel it could of been found sooner and treatment started without a delay!!!
