My relative has had severe back problems for many years now.

This department has lost his referral, failed to offer appointments and has been constantly chased by his GP surgery but still fail to offer adequate appointments.

He has had treatment which has not worked as clearly the problem is progressing and deteriorating.

He has had numerous MRI scans, tried a steroid injection which had no impact whatsoever.

He never actually gets to see his consultant just a registrar who seems to fob him off every single time.

When he finally gets an appointment, he gets about 10 minutes of their time, gets told to have another injection and off he goes to suffer more without anything actually being suggested to help him or any action being taken....and if you advise us to refer to PALS they have already told us there is nothing that they can do so where are we meant to go from here?
