Well, what can I say, on the 14th March I had a partial knee replacement. From being met at the door at 7am until I left on the 16th March the attention which I received was fantastic. All the nursing staff, from the ward, theatre, x-ray, night staff and anyone else I've forgotten were kind, understanding and very patient. I was originally booked to stay in Beauchamp ward, for some reason this wasn't possible, the alternative being a private room on the orthopaedic ward, this was not a problem. One of the day nurses was like a mother hen, they knew how frightened I was going down for surgery and they stayed with me as long as they could. A night nurse also I shall never forget, had the patience of a saint with me keep pressing the buzzer. Will never forget those two nurses. I have only praise for the NHS.
