"Hearing aid repair service"

About: Derriford Hospital

Like a previous review, I couldn't find opening times for hearing aid repair. After looking at website where opening times for department show as five days a week 8 to 6, I duly arrived and paid for 2 hours parking (thinking this would give me enough time to wait to be see at this drop in service) on Thursday morning, only to be told that the repair service doesn't operate then! Please could someone update your website to make the opening times available.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns in relation to our Hearing Aid service opening times. Having reviewed our website I can confirm the correct timings are advertised for the repair service under the audiology tab. https://www.plymouthhospitals.nhs.uk/audiology

The repair service is a walk-in service at Derriford or an appointment can be arranged and booked at one of the outreach clinics. To make an appointment please contact Outpatients at the relevant centre directly.

Opening times

Day Time

Monday 9.00am-12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Tuesday 9.00am-12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Wednesday 9.00am-12.00pm

Thursday 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Friday 9.00am-12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm

I have been unable to locate on the website where you obtained the timings from and as the Patient Opinion comments are anonymous I would be grateful if you could email me directly at claire.jukes@nhs.net with the link, so I can look into this further.

With best wishes
