About: Altrincham General Hospital

I had a coil fitted at the old Altrincham hospital 3 years ago.

After having complications i went back to have it checked as i was in a lot of pain, only to be told that there is nobody in the hospital that can check me over.

Ive also been to the hospital with my little boy who had fell and bumped his head and was again told nobody can check him over as he is 2 so id have to go to trafford general A+E. Surely there should be clinics for minor illnesses as well as injuries, a childrens department and a sexual health clinic.

The Operational Manager for Altrincham Hospital is sorry that the services you required are no longer available at the new Altrincham Hospital. Altrincham Hospital offers a nurse led minor injuries unit and Trafford Urgent Care Centre Manager has advised that children attending Altrincham with head injuries would be advised to attend an urgent care centre so that they could be assessed by a doctor.

Altrincham Hospital is no longer commissioned to offer a sexual health clinic as this is now a community health service. The details of how to contact a sexual health clinic can be found on the attached link: http://www.bridgewater.nhs.uk/trafford/sexualhealthservice/
