What I liked

Despite the hospital being a bit dated and privacy in the ward (Ruth Ward) a bit limited (but that will soon change with the new hospital), every staff member who dealt with me - nurses, anaesthetists, consultants - was kind, helpful and good-humoured! I was quite nervous about this being my first time in hospital but was made to feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

What could be improved

It would have made my day a little easier if there had been a map sent out with my appointment letter - or even some directions to the ward or which entrance to use. I know there are maps around the hospital but I'm one of those people who need to turn the map around depending on which direction I'm heading! Also the instructions in the appointment letter could have said not to use the bathroom before leaving home as I'd have to give another sample before my op - not all first timers know this stuff! :)

Anything else?

No one likes going to hospital but, thanks to the lovely staff at Pembury, my visit was made as pleasant as it could be. Thank you.
