I visited the panda unit a couple of weeks ago and the staff there were the most courteous staff ever nothing was too much trouble, my daughter has a neurological/spine health issue so being sensitive to her needs is paramount however I visited again recently and had a doctor who didn't even introduce themself to my daughter or myself they seemed to dismiss symptoms which were new to my daughters condition they tested for a water infection that I knew she didn't have and gave the most stupid explanation for my daughters back pain that medical science has ever heard.
My daughter was not put at ease she was told to go back if symptoms worsened a couple of weeks ago with the caring doctors but this doctor needs a course in person centred approach maybe as the majority of staff at the panda unit are brilliant in fact all of them but this one, to put it in perspective my nine year old daughter accompanied us and at the end stated that :that doctor wasn't very nice were they? Even the triage nurse at the main reception was concerned about my daughter and displayed more emotion to my daughter than panda did
