"there was no-one to take the pipe out when the drip finished"

I was admitted to UCH to treat a leaking mycotic abdominal aortic aneurysm. When the nurse come and put me on a drip (antibiotic drip) when it finishes there is no one to take the pipe out (disconnect).. Press the button once or twice eventually nurse will come and say sorry I was with other patients. Sometimes 1 hour after the drip finishes they will push quickly, it doesn't seem to matter to some of the nurses if this hurts the patient- that's the attitude. There is room for improvement and in my opinion this has to come from the top.
