My elderly Mother was admitted to the A&E dept on 12/07/2016 this dept was very busy as always, to be expected after initial triage, she was transferred to MAU word where everything again worked as well as it could, again another very busy place she stayed till a bed became available on a ward G3 , once there was looked after very well in deed After two days of treatment Sadly Mum started to go down hill , she as given the correct treatment and care for her condition , again sadly she went down hill some more, and developed pneumonia and was treated accordingly, sadly to no avail the consultant, doctors and nursing staff , worked so hard to help with this problem , we were informed this was now unable to treated any longer.

so Mum was put into, end of life care She passed away peacefully on the 17/07/2016.

The treatment she received was first class in every deportment she attended , the quality of care was to be commended totally, the staff treated mum with great expertise , compassion and dignity ,and really all did there best for her, we as a family owe the this great hospital and the dedicated staff so much gratitude for there kindness shown to Mum and the rest of our family, when there and we visited her, So a very big thank you from us all for everything you have done.
