What I liked
I gave birth to my daughter at St Mary's in June 2009 and we both remained inpatients for a week following her birth. I had a difficult labour and my daughter spent her first night in special care. The care I received at all times was exceptional. I am very grateful to all of the staff who looked after us both from the medical team who delivered her, the doctors and nurses in special care and the wonderful midwives who helped us with feeding and got us home! We met many different doctors and midwives and I can say without exception they were all professional and compassionate. I think I was most surprised by the kindness of those caring for us. It is amazing that despite such a traumatic delivery and difficult few days following our daughters birth I still think of the experience as being magical and I have very fond memories of St Marys. If I am fortunate enough to have another baby I wouldn't hesitate to give birth at St Mary's.
