A letter dated 1 July, with no postage stamp on it was delivered by royal mail on the 8 July. It detailed a series of appointment dates the first being 4 July. I phoned the Clinic who had issued the letter and they said the appointment had been missed and had been detailed on the letter as a missed appointment. This was not detailed on the letter. Either someone within the Clinic had not posted the letter or the correct postage had not been paid on the postage. Either way the letter did not arrive until 8 July.
I phoned the clinic on 8 July to explain why the appointment had not been attended since the letter hand not been received until 8 July. I was told that it could not be re-scheduled and my partner would just have to wait until their next appointment (2 months later).
My partner phoned the clinic to see if the appointment could be re-scheduled and was told to phone every day at 11 a. m. in case there might be a cancelation. Every day they are told there are none.
In my mind this is not acceptable it was not my partner's fault that they missed the appointment it was the person sending out the letter with the dates of the appointment because for some reason it was not posted out in time. My partners health is suffering nobody seams to care but maybe they would if it was one of their family members.
"My partner cannot attend life prolonging appointments because letters are issued after the dates of the appointment"
