"Weekend syndrome"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

I was rushed in to A&E on the 15th June with atrial fibrillation this was caused because I had an infection and this at to be dealt with electric shock treatment I than had 5 days in ward 12 & ward 3 which I had excellent treatment by the doctors and nurses and ambulance staff everything was explained to me and this made me feel at ease. This was the opposite of last Friday I had a set back and the atrial fibrillation started again I than took myself to the A&E dept. by the time I went in to the triage nurse it was slowing down all I wanted to know was this episode started by my infection coming back the nursing staff you could not fault them they gave excellent service and made me feel at ease but I felt the doctors would not listen or understand why I had come do they not look at your records it felt that I was wasting their time and told me my problem was caused by other factors like standing up to quickly and go back to your GP which if you are lucky get an appointment in 2or 3 weeks’ time
