I called the Outpatients department at 1.15pm today to query a text I had received reminding me of an appointment next week but giving the wrong time.
I called to query it and was told that the system was showing 10am but the comments were showing 9.30am which I had in my diary.
That was all fine, I said 'thank you very much' to the telephonist, and they just slammed the phone down.
Needs a lesson in telephone etiquette I think.
I think sometimes they needs to remember we are actually customers and we do pay their wages.
I completely understand that they probably do take some flack but I was perfectly polite and appreciative of their help and they were rude.
