What I liked
The place was clean and the staff were relaxed and helpful
What could be improved
I was in for a hemicap or knee replacement. I had waited 17 weeks and 6 days. I got all prepared, all preop done and waited till 1pm. I was then told by a member of the operating staff that the equipment had not worked first thing and it had only just been fixed and the people from the company of the product had to be there but they were not going to be there during the afternoon so my operation had to be cancelled. I have had three keyhole operations on my knee over the last 4 years that had all failed me. I have not worked and been in terrible pain with no life but I still have not had it sorted. The hospital is now out of the 18 week period and I am still waiting to get it sorted. this is driving me made and it needs to be sorted. My mother has seen a consultant about her knee and she will have it done in 10 weeks at a private hospital paid for by the NHS. Talk about both ends of the spectrum. the over all hospital care philosiphy stinks but the staff are fantastic and I feel very sorry for them that they get put in these positions by money and rules.
