"Poor service at my G.P surgery"

I have been suffering from a health issue for three months. Since the symptoms began I have had three appointments at the surgery the second was an unrelated skin investigation referral that was mentioned in the first consultation. However the underlying problems have been discussed on every visit. I have seen my Dr twice on the first and third visits so he has had a clear insight into my case history. On the third visit he was unsure what the cause of my symptoms could be, so referred me for a MRI scan.

As yet I have not had any correspondence concerning the MRI scan so today I enquired at the surgery reception if the referral was lodged. The receptionist stated that it had and was faxed to Bedford Hospital, but was sent a whole week after my appointment! That's a solid week for a simple fax to be sent off, a fax that I would have expected to be sent off as soon as I left the consultation room.

I am bitterly disappointed and angry that my health and wellbeing is held in such little regard that a simple fax took a week. My symptoms persist and I'm worried, I have been given little reassurance or a structured plan towards treatment from the surgery.
