Got to A&E with an injury which was just too deep to deal with at home and thr GP was closed. As it was 8pm on a Saturday we expected the department to be full but there were maybe half a dozen patients there. The registration was quick and I was seen and assessed by the triage nurse almost immediately. As my injury was not that severe, a few people who came in after me were seen before me, but their injuries must have been judged to be more severe than mine and that is how I expect A&E to work. I was seen by the senior nurse (?)(not one of the doctors) half an hour after being assessed, treated and sent home with clear instructions on what to do if it didn't heal and how to help it heal as soon as possible. All in all, in and out in just over an hour! The speed was great, but what sticks with me is the good humour and friendliness of all the staff! I felt very well taken care of and if I ever need to go back I know I will be safe. Thank you.
"Excellent care"
