"No being able to access the pain team that I have been with for ten years"

I have Erlos Danlos Syndrome which creates tremendous pain, I have needed the pain team for years and I have to take high levels of opioids. For a couple of years my pain level has been under control, but now my pain has increased as my illness has developed. I contacted the pain team as normal to find I needed a new referral from my doctor which I did, then I was told I now needed funding from my health authority.

I have waited three months with no word, I decided to call them today to see if an appointment was going to happen, I was then told that I was not going to get an appointment at all and they didn't even have the decency to tell me. So the upshot is that I am left high and dry with no pain team, no help and in agony, so thank you for leaving a patient with no help and no hope.
