"Absolutely disgusting place"

I have arrived at A&E with a broken leg. There was no one to wheel me in or help me out walking. Drink dispensing machine was out of order and I needed a drink. I have asked a nurse for a glass of water but they refused and told me to wait for my turn to be seen. I have asked at the reception if I could have a glass of water and they sent me to canteen upstairs. Best in mind I'm unable to walk and I was on my own. Also, there is very little waiting area since the refurbishment which means people that are often very ill are sitting on floor or stand waiting for hours to be seen. Absolutely ridiculous. Since the renovation there is a new reception but you wouldn't know where the queue is because there are many people standing all around the place. No one there to help you at all. I am absolutely disgusted with this hospital. BRI, you have a horrible opinion in media and amongst your patients which couldn't be more true. A&E staff, shame on you!

Hello, first of I must apologise for the delay in replying - there has been a problem with the site notifying us when someone posts a review, which we have just become aware of. We do value all comments from our patients and take them seriously. The refurbishment in A&E is not complete yet, but I am really sorry you did not find people helpful and had an uncomfortable wait for treatment.
