"Reception"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I spent the day in A and E and had 3 lots of blood taken over the course of 8 hours. They lost the second lot and it took 4 and a half hours to realise this, leaving me sitting in a bed unattended for a majority of that time. Finally they moved me to a waiting room and told me someone would be with me soon. There was a 2 hour wait that at 11.30 at night I could not risk hanging about. Tried calling up 2 days later to get a result and was put through to A and E reception having to wait on a phone for 15 minutes and still not getting a response. It don't surprise me, even the doctors and nurses had problems calling other departments while I was there so what chance has anyone got from outside the hospital of getting through to any department? So many staff yet no one mans the phones.....
